Based on authentic control panel instruments, the large numerals on the date display emphasize the cockpit character of the watch. The small second with its red hand ensures additional readability. The historical logo on the dial symbolizes Junghans's traditional affinity to aviation. The Junghans Pilot Automatic Watch features a self-winding J840.1.6 movement with a power reserve of up to 38 hours with a small second hand, and date at 12 o'clock. The case is smoothed stainless steel, with a diameter of 43.3mm, and height 12.5mm, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a bi-directional turning bezel with luminous dot, and stainless steel case back retained by 7 screws with "Aviation" engraving. The domed dial has a matte dark grey effect lacquer, historical Junghans lettering, environmentally friendly luminous minute track and hour numerals with satin-finished hands, and beige lacquered second hand. Water resistance up to 10 ATM. Dark green/black leather strap with riveting, and stainless steel buckle.
