The Primrose, 1899 Art Glass Panel by Alphonse Mucha is adapted from a color lithograph. It was originally called Flower, but after the publication of the Flowers series, its name was changed to Primrose. It was originally printed on vellum paper and sold for 12 francs as well as with a more luxurious version printed on silk satin available for 40 francs.
On this glass panel, enamel colors are individually applied to a single sheet of glass which is then kiln fired to permanently fuse the enamels to the glass. The glass panel is then framed with a copper patina metal came for an antique feel, and includes both a hanging chain and clear acrylic stand for desk or table display. Dimensions: Ht: 12”. W: 5”.
