This set of William Morris Botanical Napkins features four whimsical motifs by William Morris (British, 1834–1896) printed on cotton: Fruit (or Pomegranate) (ca. 1866), Jasmine (1872), Strawberry Thief (design registered 1883, printed 1917–23), and Blackthorn (1892). William Morris (1834–1896) was associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, and a founder of the British Arts & Crafts Movement. The acclaimed designer, artist, and writer was a major contributor to the revival of traditional British textile arts and methods of production. Each napkin is 18" square and made of 55% linen and 45% cotton. Machine washable. Set of 4.
