Frank Lloyd Wright Dana-Thomas House Birdhouse

Item# KDGDTH1904

This Frank Lloyd Wright Dana-Thomas House Birdhouse is adapted from Wright's Susan Lawrence Dana House, built in Springfield, IL, 1902. The house is a showcase of craftsmanship in detailed art glass doors and windows, light fixtures, terra cotta sculpture, planters, and an exquisite mural. The red tile pitched roofs have fascias of stamped copper.  Wright's use of nature themes and geometry using a palette of autumnal colors of rich amber, green, and brown is applied to the birdhouse. This birdhouse design features the southern entrance to the main house on the front piece of clear acrylic as a laser etched image. Please note: The opening is big enough for chickadees and house wrens but too small for sparrows. Chickadees and wrens like their homes to be four to ten feet above the ground. H: 8.25" x W: 6"
