Charles and Ray Eames Coloring Toy

Item# EM95000

The Coloring Toy was designed by Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950s. The purpose of the Coloring Toy is to stimulate a child’s imagination and allow them to enter into a world of color, drawing, shapes, and play. This is a world discovered and rediscovered by all children and is their own creation. The Coloring Toy does not presume to make artists out of children or to teach them how to play (as children are far ahead of us on both counts) but it’s hoped that the contents of the box and the clues it offers will stimulate the use of these and other materials in an ever expanding variety of ways. Each box contains 8 die-cut panels, 16 crayons, and butterfly clips. The colorful panels have a variety of outlines die-cut shapes to color, punch out and attach. Recommended ages 6+. Not intended for children under 3 years.
