Tate Modern Mobile by Terry Frost and Flensted

The Flensted Tate Terry Frost Mobile was designed for Tate Modern in London. It was made by Ole Flensted in cooperation with Sir Terry Frost, the abstract painter and designed to represent the art of Sir Terry Frost. Material: Cardboard. Overall dimensions: 15.75" x 20". Assembled and ready to be enjoyed. Mobiles are a traditional craft in Denmark, but the modern Danish mobile - as a decoration for the home - was created in 1954 by Christian Flensted and his wife Grethe to celebrate the birth of their first daughter. Flensted Mobiles are hand made in Denmark and are so designed that the elements are in constant motion while the entire mobile maintains a harmonic balance. Today, Christian and Grethe´s son, Ole and his wife Aase continue the family tradition, with ideas for new and original mobiles.
