Braun Travel Alarm Clock AB5 White by Dieter Rams & Dietrich Lubs

In 1990 Braun introduced the Rounded Design AB5 Alarm Clock by Dieter Rams and Dietrich Lubs. The legendary Braun travel alarm clocks were loved by many long after original production stopped. Braun's decision to reissue the clock and watch collection met with the approval of Dietrich Lubs, co-designer with Dieter Rams. The Braun reissue of the AB5 Alarm Clock White runs on one AA battery (included). The analog AB5 with its bright yellow sweep second hand has become an icon of modern design. Dieter Rams, born 1932 in Wiesbaden, is the industrial designer most closely associated with the German consumer products company Braun and is regarded as a leader of the Functionalist school of industrial design. The compact travel version of this alarm clock ( Ht: 2.6". W: 2.6". D: 1.45") is made of durable ABS plastic. High precision quartz German movement. One year warranty. The 2011 alarm clocks are based on the original designs with slight modifications, bringing them into the 21st century.
